About the Artist<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Jasmina Pacek\u2019s practice, shaped by extensive international education and diverse artistic systems, is grounded in multiplicity and cross-cultural experience: she graduated (B.Des.) in Textile Design with First Class Honors from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland; earned her MFA in Textile Art and Costume Design from the University of California, Davis, USA; and subsequently received her Doctorate in Applied Arts from Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek,Croatia in collaboration with Rider University in Princeton, USA.<\/p>\n

She also completed Postgraduate Specialist Studies in Creative Therapy \u2014 Art Therapy concentration \u2014 at the Academy of Arts and Culture and the Faculty of Medicine in Osijek,Croatia in collaboration with George Washington University in Washington, D.C., USA.<\/p>\n

This combination of European and American education, theoretical precision, and intensive studio practice has resulted in an artist who conceives the construction of works with architectural clarity, yet creates guided by inner impulse.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\t

International Artistic Journey<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

She worked professionally in the United States as art and design director of large creative teams, developing collections for the international market. <\/p>\n

She founded her own fashion brand, collaborated with theaters, institutions, and festivals, and realized projects in Croatia and abroad.<\/p>\n

She is the recipient of the Croatian Theater Award for best costume design for the opera Norma, as well as several international awards for the innovative project “Neutral Theater Costume.”<\/p>\n

Theater, film, design, costume design, set design, academic work\u2014in her oeuvre, these layers do not separate. They interweave and transform into one another.<\/p>\n

Painting is the natural culmination of her interdisciplinary path.<\/p>\n

Her works reveal:
\n– architectural understanding of space
\n– experience working with textile texture and layering
\n– compositional dramaturgy shaped through theatrical practice
\n– profound sensitivity to color developed through design<\/p>\n

Color in her painting is not a decorative element\u2014it is the carrier of emotional energy and a constructive principle.
\nThe surface is tactile, layered, almost relief-like.
\nThe composition pulsates with rhythm and inner tension, balancing between control and spontaneity.<\/p>\n
